About us

Fitness and health have become of paramount importance and are concerns which touch each and every part of the world. It has a global presence. So much so that out of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals that have been issued by the United Nations two of them are dedicated towards food, nutrition and wellbeing, which include the following, 

1. “ Food for all” and 2. “Good Health and Wellbeing”. Eating the right way is a concern and to add on to this the sedentary life that modern times have brought creates a perfect recipe for an unhealthy life. Healthy eating and healthy living should not only be a necessity but a choice.

A choice that will last you for a lifetime.But this does not happen within the snap of a finger. It requires manuring and nurturing to bear the fruit of a sustainably healthy life.

 

Hence, to spread awareness regarding the same and encouraging people we have come up with “Nirmal Swasthya”. Nirmal Swasthya is an Initiative by the Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Nirmala Niketan College of Home Science Accredited NAAC ‘A’ Grade Affiliated to the University of Mumbai. This will be our way of doing our bit for the society in order to uplift it when it comes to food and health.

This blog shall touch upon various aspects of nutrition and lifestyle along with throwing light on certain health related issues that are crippling the society. To make this fun and exciting we shall be talking about certain recipes that will add a touch of health to your lives .

We sincerely hope that it will help you embark upon a journey of mindful eating and living and help you throw light on this aspect of living which has long been neglected.
